To qualify as a VSPN member, you must be a veterinary technician or assistant, receptionist, practice manager, office manager, ancillary hospital staff, or a veterinary technician/assistant student or an instructor within the field of veterinary medicine working under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.

VSPN membership is granted to individuals. There are no clinic memberships. Members must meet criteria for membership. Membership is not directly connected with the clinic you list as employer. Your membership belongs to YOU.

Credentialed technicians with an active license, but not currently working in the field, should note this on their application. Credentialed technicians working for an allied industry qualify for membership.

Pharm D. students and/or credentialed pharmacists are not eligible for VSPN membership.  Please apply to VIN if you are a pharmacist working at a veterinary teaching hospital. If you are employed by an allied industry in a veterinary related field you will need to email Michael Johnson (Michael) or contact your company’s VIN representative regarding membership. If you are a veterinary technician working for an allied industry company, you must do this step first.

College or University staff (i.e. librarians, PhD or Master's instructors that are actively instructing VT or VA students, etc.) please email us at help with the above required information and what you will use VSPN for to advance the students you teach.

Volunteers in a shelter environment, breeders, those in agriculture or farm management, or some other related area who are not under the direction of a veterinarian are not eligible for VSPN membership.
