This course will provide a review of how to acquire high quality diagnostic radiographs with minimal radiation exposure to themselves and to the patient. The participant will be introduced to optimal patient positioning for radiographic studies with the incorporation of chemical restraint and positioning devices. This course will provide a better understanding of x-ray production, terminology, technique and safety.
Week 1 (Real Time Session October 6):
Getting Started- Understanding Radiographic Terminology, Production of X-rays, Image Processing and Developing a Technique Chart
Objectives: Upon completion of this session, the participant should be able to
- Understand radiographic terminology
- Explain the production of x-rays.
- Discuss image processing.
