How do I claim my VIN® trial?
- Go to www.VIN.com and click the Join button. Or go here to start your application.
- On the VIN® application, type "I attended CONFERENCE NAME & YEAR and would like the special 60-day trial" in the 'Tell us about yourself' box on the Personal Info tab.
Tip: Start your free trial after you return home to maximize your time to explore VIN®. You have a year to claim your conference bonus. If you start your free trial at the conference, you'll 'lose VIN® time' with travel days & catching up from being gone.
I just had a VIN® trial or ended my active VIN® membership. Can I use the VIN® conference bonus?
- The purpose of offering the VIN® bonus is to introduce veterinarians to the benefits of VIN® membership. If you've had a trial membership, or discontinued your VIN® membership, within the past 6 months, you're not eligible for the conference bonus.
What if I want a CE discount but I'm not a VIN® member?
- You must be an active VIN® member to receive the discount on a VIN® CE course.
Can I use this to extend my existing VIN® membership?
- No. Current VIN® members are eligible for a one-time CE discount instead.
How do I claim my VIN® CE discount?
- Go to VIN.com/CE and click the CE Open for Enrollment button to find a course you like. Enroll in the course. When you reach the Payment Information screen, put "I attended CONFERENCE NAME & YEAR" in the Comments box.
- Your discount will be applied manually when the CE team processes your enrollment. You will not see your total decrease automatically.

Does this mean I get a free course?
- The maximum value of the discount is equal to the cost of a 1-month individual VIN® membership. If your course costs more than that, you must pay the difference. If your course costs less than that, you forfeit the remaining value.
- NOTE: Any 'unused' discount amount does not roll over to future enrollments on other days.
What kind of courses can I use my discount for?
- You may apply your discount to any VIN® Interactive or On Demand CE course. Courses offered through VSPN, drip.vet, or CattleDog Publishing® are not eligible for the discount.
I'm not a veterinarian. What do I get?
- The conference bonus is offered to veterinarians. Veterinary technicians/support staff can apply for a VSPN membership at any time. There is no membership fee for VSPN.
When does this bonus expire?
- You must claim your conference bonus within ONE YEAR of the conference.
- If you're getting an extended VIN® trial, you must complete the application within those 365 days.
- If you're using a CE discount, you must enroll in the course within those 365 days, then complete your course as specified in the course information page. (The course completion date may be earlier or later than the conference bonus expiration date.)
Can I use multiple conference bonuses per year?
- No. You may use ONE bonus per year, either an extended trial or CE course discount, not both.
Do I need to send proof of attendance or enter a coupon code?
- No. If you pre-registered and have proceedings access, your information is on file. If you registered late or onsite, allow 1-2 weeks for the conference organizers to notify VIN® of your eligibility.
Can I transfer or gift this bonus to someone else?
- No. The conference bonus is only offered to the veterinarian who attended the conference.
