Technical Alternatives for Development and Conservation Program Anatomical Parts of Veterinary Medicine
C. Muñetón
The project on alternatives for preserving anatomical specimens techniques, describes the forced inclusion of glycerin, which allowed obtaining various biomodels that facilitate and complement the learning process by students of Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University institution "Uniagraria". Moreover, these pieces have the advantage that they can stay outdoors, do not accumulate fungi or microorganisms that affect human health, and have a shelf life of several years, which decreases input and animals that are intended for studying the subject. It is worth noting that this preparation technique glycerin has been developing and perfecting the author since 2010, in a continuing search for substances that preserve anatomical specimens, consistent with the new legislation on animal protection, protocols biosafety, and chemical risk implications for human and environmental health.
