Some of violence in the family can have a negative impact on children's behavior. Children react to this behavior violence weaker self-seeking and abuse occurs. One of the obvious and measurable responses in this type of violence is children's behavior with animals. This indicator shows mental state in the home between family members.
In this study, Child Symptom Inventory (CSI-4) parent form and questionnaire Aachen Bach and a questionnaire to assess the level of animal abuse and animal phobia in children were evaluated. Data using descriptive statistics such as percentage, frequency, Z-test and analysis of Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to calculate reliability.
Incidence of animal abuse and animal phobia in children, based on factors including fear 5%, conduct 5%, insubordination against 3.6%, aggression 6%. So in general fear and aggression on animals in children was 20.5%. Almost half of these children are subject of mother violence against fathers or fathers against mothers. There is no gender difference in children cases.
This study reveals that one of the first indicators for disorder in children is violence and aggression to animals. This is one of the major symptoms of conduct disorder that occurs on average about seven years.
Overall, this study has shown that the prevalence of behavioral disorders and animal abuse is directly related to domestic violence. As a result of these findings are similar to results of the study showed that the amount of Shiraz 17.5%, Gonabad 16.6%, Ilaam 10.2%, Bushehr 16.84% and Isfehan 13.2%.
