Comparison of Heavy Metal Concentrations in Serum from Captive and Wild Sharks

Serum samples were collected from several species of shark (including:
Mako, Sand, Tiger, and Nurse). The sera were analysed for content of selenium, cadmium,
zinc, and nickel.
The results show some species differences in metal loading as well as
the first data collected on the sera of these animals.
