In attempting to correlate published data with our results we have found a multitude of data reporting. These variations ranged from different analytical techniques to data points listed as ppm, ppm/gdwt, ppm/gwwt, gms/kilo body wt and several others.

This paper will discuss our research and will present comparative data illustrating analytical differences due to different instruments and sample preparation. We will further suggest some ideas which may make some of the comparisons easier in the future. These will include standard reporting and standardization of sample preparation as well as sample size needed for proper analysis of tissue, serum, and whole blood.
