Organizing the Pharmacy My current tech likes to categorize the medications. Heart medications, NSAIDs, GI meds, steroids, etc. That is all fine and good but I don't think it is as efficient for "everyone" and especially for receptionist and newcomers who don't know the drugs. I also wonder about dual purpose medications that work on multiple organ systems or are for multiple systems (are ACE inhibitors cardiac or renal drugs)?
Anyway, I was just wondering how others have their pharmacy organized. Alphabetical Categorical Other... if so, how?
