Introduction
Unity provides instructors and moderators with a personal folder. The folders and files created within the personal folder are private. Access is limited to a single user. Within their personal folder, the instructor/moderator can manage his or her own set of folders and files.
There is also a Global File System folder. All the folders and files within the Global File System folder are shared and, potentially, available to everyone. Each folder in the Global File System has a permission attribute that controls the level of access each user has within that folder. We will talk more about this later. The thing to remember is that the files and folders in your personal folder are private, those in the Global File System are shared and not private.
Access to these folders is available in each of the following ADMIN TOOLS windows:
- WARP TYPE
- POLLING MANAGEMENT
- PRESENTATION MANAGER
The type of files visible within the folders will depend on which tool is being used to view them.
- When viewing the content of folders from the Warp Type window, you can see only the warp files.
- When viewing from the Polling Management window, you can see only the poll files.
- When viewing from Presentation Manager, you can only see the slide show files.
These folders will be available for your use in any Unity Conference Room.
The typical arrangement of folders for a course consists of a course folder named for the course. Within the course folder there will be a folder for each Real Time Session of the course. The session warp, polls, and slideshow files will be stored within these Real Time Session folders.

Global File System Folder Access
While the folders and files within the Global File System are shared, access is still limited based upon access settings within each individual folder. There are 4 possible levels of access: List only, Read only, Write, and Full Control. If you hover your cursor over the Folder: label, your access level will be displayed. Refer to the red arrow in the following image:
.
Based upon your access level, you will have permission for the following actions:

- A pop-up window will question whether you REALLY want to delete the folder. Select the YES button.
- If the folder is empty, it will be deleted. But if the directory still has a file in it, you will get an error pop-up like the following:
You will need to use all three of the Unity tools (Polling Management, Presentation Manager, and Warp Type) to check the folder for files. This is because the polling files are only visible from Polling Management, the slideshow files are only visible from Presentation Manager, and the warp type files are only visible from Warp Type. The folder must be empty of all files before you can delete it.
