“A sorrel is hot…”: A genetic investigation of the horseman's myth
Equine base coat color is determined by polymorphisms at the melanocortin receptor 1 (MC1R) and Agouti signaling protein (ASIP) loci. These 2 loci create colors of black, bay, or chestnut, with other colors due to modifications from additional genes. In humans, polymorphisms at MC1R cause fair skin and red hair, correlating to increased heat sensitivity and a lower pain tolerance.

Retirement Is Almost Here: How To Sell A Housecall Practice
You have to remember you are emotionally attached to the practice. The Buyer is not. And what you are "selling" is very temperamental. Meaning your clients love you, but might not like the new Buyer. So this is a tough sell to a Buyer.

Decision making as a new vet
I have been noticing recently that I continue to ask questions to the vets around me that I feel like I should know. I am also asking questions to constantly check myself to see if I am making the right decision. It bothers me that I keep having to ask my colleagues. All of them are more than happy to answer my questions, but I keep feeling that I should not have to ask them.
