Class Practice Sessions: There will be 2 to 3 practice sessions scheduled to introduce you to how the classroom works. These times will be listed in the course confirmation email that you will receive after enrolling in the course. You need only attend one of the sessions.
Level and Prerequisites: Participants in this course should have a basic knowledge of canine anatomy and pathophysiology.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
In many veterinary clinics dermatology can comprise up to 50% of the case load seen on a daily basis. This course will afford practitioners an update and review of the two of the most common diseases seen; Canine Atopic Dermatitis and Otitis externa. A brief review of current thought will be given to anatomy and pathophysiology with major emphasis given to new and relevant diagnosis and treatment regimes. In the final week there will be a whirlwind presentation of the latest in therapeutics. The information presented will timely, practical and useful.
This course consists of three (3) 2 hour real time sessions; library materials supplementing the weekly sessions; interactive message board discussions; and end of course quiz (after each real time session) designed to enhance course effectiveness and material retention.

About the Instructor:
VIN Consultant and ACVD boarded dermatologist Mitch Song received his veterinary degree from Mississippi State University. Dr. Song also did a residency in dermatology at the University of California, Davis. He is currently the owner of Animal Dermatology Services.

COURSE WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND POLICY: Withdrawal prior to the listed start date of a course entitles the registrant to a complete refund or a credit toward a future VIN CE course, whichever is preferred. Withdrawal within 1 week after the listed start date (i.e. including no more than one real-time session) entitles the registrant to a credit toward any future VIN CE course. (Does not apply to courses with only one real-time session.) After the first real-time session, a registrant may withdraw due to special circumstances and receive prorated credit towards a future VIN course. These requests will be handled on an individual basis. The amount of the prorated credit will be determined based on 65% of the time remaining in the course at the time of withdrawal.
