George Sydney and Phyllis Redman Miller Trust
Funded for a total of $133,813

In 2002, the George Sydney and Phyllis Redman Miller Trust designated Winn Feline Foundation as one of its advisor organizations. Winn has subsequently been provided an unprecedented opportunity to make annual recommendations for grant awards to the San Francisco Foundation trustees of the Miller Trust. The total grant funding varies each year.

For 2019, Winn Feline Foundation is excited to have made the following recommendations for Miller Trust Grant Awards totaling $133,813:

Precision Medicine Genomics for Cats (continuation) – $35,000

Cats are Not Dogs: Addressing Drug Failure in Cats – $21,294

Defining stem cell-induced alterations in CD8+ T cells in cats with chronic gingivostomatitis – $27,500

Using probiotics to modulate the respiratory microbiome in feline allergic asthma – $34,686

In addition to the Miller Trust Grant recommendations, the Winn Feline Foundation will be awarding additional funding for the following:

Biologic variability of cardiac biomarkers in healthy cats and cats with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy – $20,800
